Although the team have not raced over the past couple of weeks, its been a busy time behind the scenes and there is also some video footage of the restoration projects back in action in the multimedia section of the website.
Area 31 Racing Team driver David Jones has been concentrating on his mechanic role with the JC Racing Team over the past two weeks trying to get the new 250cc GRM powered Pugh hydroplane outfit (pictured above) running to its full potential, and ready for the up and coming 1st round of the RYA hydroplane national championship at Oulton Broad on the 24th and 25th May.
Although David will be mechanic for the JC Racing Team, the Area 31 Team will be displaying their restored hydroplanes on the park front at Oulton Broad should any spectators wish to come and have a closer look, ask any questions they may have, and also re-live memories with the team.
The final pieces of news from the Area 31 Racing pits is that the third restoration project is coming along nicely and the website now has a small video footage section of the restorations projects competing at Oulton Broad. Over time the team will be adding further footage to the website.
