The Area 31 Racing Team found out that lightning really does strike twice as once again the final heat proved to be unlucky for team.
Team Driver David Jones was powering towards a final heat race win to take second overall when the 1973 500cc Konig came to a sudden stop at a rough Oulton Broad. Read full story here.

The Area 31 Racing Team were left wondering what might have been at a rough Oulton Broad circuit after the prop shaft decided to let go during the final heat robbing the team of the overall victory.
With two second place finishes in the first two races, the team only had to finish the final heat to walk away with the overall victory. Read full story here.

The Area 31 Racing Team's season finally got underway with the 1973 500cc classic hydroplane outfit taking second place overall at a breezy and chilly Oulton Broad circuit.
The overall winner on the day was close friend Julian Codling and the JC Racing Team who also broke the long standing 250cc lap record. Read full story here.
