1973 500cc Konig Powered Cabover Restoration: June 2010
The following two videos are footage of Area 31 Racing competing with the 1973 500cc Konig powered cabover hydroplane which the team restored to it's former glory.
The footage was taken during the June 2010 and shows driver David Jones competing at Oulton Broad on a very rough evening. It was so rough the boat and engine took such a pounding that during the third race the prop shaft snapped clean in two.
